Why is it important to use the mamaestra´s music?

Your baby bonds with you and your voice when you sing to them. Singing makes yours the first and most important voice in her/his life. She/he will understand how much you love him/her!

Listen to this song to bond.  Baby in Mom´s Arms.

When they listen to a song for waking up, sleeping, and other routine transitions and activities, they know what's coming next. This makes their security.

Listen to this song to talk about transitions in the shower.

Language is in itself musical when you use baby talk, and when you sing and speak, your baby learns about sounds, words, phrases (language), and conversations (communication). Through your singing, the baby’s language comprehension begins. Listen to these songs to bond on how to establish conversations with the baby.

New words in a second language – While you sing and hold your baby, you can introduce the language by using new vocabulary. When you hold up a stuffed dog, you can say “este es un perro”. as you sing about a dog, touch the dog, and they will know that word in both languages. A baby learns to associate the name of that toy/thing/animal/person with the words you sing. When you sing about parts of the body and kiss your baby’s feet or tickle his tummy, he learns new words.
Listen to this song to learn Spanish.

The magic of music is vital for babies. The magic of music includes rhythm and rhyme, which are vital parts of our language. We maintain authentic rhythms, combine easy rhymes, and incorporate a childlike charm into our music. This original sound gets parents and kids alike moving and grooving to our own unique beat! Over time, babies will recognize rhymes and rhythms and moms will get the language.
Listen to this song to rhyme.

Singing is one of many methods of play and “sing-play” is a fun way to interact with babies. Also playing, is how children learn and practice ideas and language!

Singing is a great way to include other members of the family like dad, grandpas, and older siblings in building a bond between other relatives. Make singing a family activity. Tiempo de cantar en familia.

Yo muy bien y tú ¿que tal?

 Hey, yo me llamo_Ceci___ y ¿tú?

Yo me llamo______(dejar espacio en blanco)

 ¡Mucho gusto!

Choca mis manos (Dame cinco, cualquier frase puede poner)

A baby can learn his name and the basics of everyday family life by hearing it in songs like greetings, and special words. Try substituting your baby’s name, or another vocabulary for other words in songs so he hears those words sung over and over again.

Singing is a listening activity, just like reading. You're giving your baby another opportunity to begin to understand language and feelings expressed through language and sing-play.

All of the above comes down to using your singing voice as a means of expressing love. Babies don't really care if you're a good singer. All they care about is that you are singing to them! In their eyes (and their ears), you'll be a star! Get ready to rock and showcase your repertoire. Select five of your favorite Mamaestra Lullaby songs.

EXTRA

Songs also help you too. If you sing or do vocal exercises by yourself, in class, or in a group, this can lower the cortisol (stress hormone) levels in your blood, and it releases muscle tension. Singing improves mental health! Singing releases endorphins, which is the “feel-good brain chemical” that makes you feel happy.
