If you are into the Bilingualism Challenge, MAKE LANGUAGE LEARNING MEANINGFUL AND CONNECTED WITH REAL LIFE

Raising a bilingual child is not just about TV programs and phone games. MAKE LANGUAGE LEARNING SUCCESSFUL AND CONNECTED TO REAL LIFE AND MEANINGFUL.

A language learning program that is situated in the real world and involves real interactions is most effective. Our main reason for using Toybook's puppets is because of this. The possibilities for roleplaying are endless. We can also meet other people. Families, friends, professionals, and the community can help connect language learning to real life (and real needs to use the language).

If there are other speakers of that language nearby, your child and you will have a huge incentive to learn the language, as well as opportunities for bilingual playgroups, reading hours, etc. Playdates, babysitters, and story time. Is there anything more meaningful than using that language to communicate with a new friend for a young child? Let's begin our circle time. Native and non-native speakers sing, talk, walk, dance, and laugh together.

Additionally, if you have a connection to a particular language in your family, that is a very important factor. Using the language with grandparents or great aunts, for example, the language is connected to everyday life in a real and emotional way.

Let's have more Latino Family friends. Our culture loves to celebrate big fiestas, eat, laugh, and dance. Get to know your neighbor, your colleague if you live in San Francisco, we can get together. I welcome family gatherings.
